Vita Dr. Brigitte Bock

After school I wanted to pursue a career that allowed me to interact with other people and work with my hands. As I had already decided to study, I chose to study medicine.

Having always been passionate about people and life, I joined the Gynaecological Hospital in Nuremberg for my specialist training after I had completed my degree and dissertation. The work there was right up my alley: a variety of women of all ages and conditions whether in obstetrics or oncology.

Still enthusiastic after finishing specialist training, my career path took me to further training in special obstetrics and perinatal medicine, prenatal diagnostics at the Gynaecological University Hospital in Bonn, mammography qualification at the Gynaecological University Hospital in Wuerzburg and I became a senior physician and later managing senior physician at the Nuremberg Hospital South.

A job I greatly enjoyed, but I wanted to start a family and subsequently my two little boys were born who are now taller than me. In 1995, I opened my own gynaecological practice in Nuremberg-Moegeldorf.

To serve my patients holistically, I completed TCM and acupuncture training.

In my free time I like to read, travel, go skiing and cook for my family and friends.

My ethics are based on my Christian faith and so I am involved with „Ärzte ohne Grenzen e.V.“ and „Plan International".

I hope that I will never run out of my love for the people, or as the author and mystic Madeleine Delbrêl puts it: "Love is our only task".
